Robert Steven (江职宏), born June 25, 1958, in North Sumatra, is a world-renowned bonsai and penjing artist. Known in the international community as "The Eagle Eyes" for his unparalleled ability to discern and develop the hidden design potential in raw bonsai material, Mr. Steven is a dominant figure in this art form.

He began collecting and practicing bonsai in 1979. His aesthetic and horticultural approach to design has earned him over 200 national and international awards, including the Grand Prize at the Certre Award International in 2001 and 2007, and multiple awards from the Ben Oki International Design Award and the JAL World Bonsai Contest.

Key Contributions and Influence
Mr. Steven's influence extends far beyond his own collection of over 500 bonsai trees. He is a prolific teacher who frequently travels the world giving lectures, demonstrations, and workshops. He has held important leadership positions, including former Secretary General of the Asia-Pacific Bonsai Friendship Federation (ABFF) and member of the Board of Directors of the BCI (2002-2010).

He is the founder of the World Bonsai Artists Community (WORBAC) and the initiator of the International Bonsai Art & Culture Biennale, a pioneering event that integrated bonsai with other art forms.
An author, expert columnist, and active writer for various bonsai magazines, he was the expert editor of Green Hobby magazine. He is the author of two limited-edition best-selling books: Vision of My Soul (2005) and Mission of Transformation (2009).
He also maintains an active professional life as an energy hypnotherapist and internationally certified instructor.
